Our client is looking for an Associate Director, Client Compliance Officer to provide the key person roles of Compliance Officer, Money Laundering Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer where required.

To deliver an effective compliance framework for a portfolio of regulated client entities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acting as Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Compliance Officer
  • Working closely with the Compliance Officer to ensure effective compliance services are provided to clients
  • General day-to-day oversight of client compliance matters and corresponding with the JFSC as appropriate 
  • Organising training and development for junior members of the team 
  • Overseeing and managing Compliance Monitoring Plans, Business Risk Assessments, and relevant policies and procedures
  • Preparing compliance reports for clients, including the escalation and tracking of any findings
  • Acting as a compliance representative at client board meetings as and when required 
  • Provision of support and guidance to clients on applicable regulatory and AML issues
  • Overseeing Risk Registers (including breaches, complaints and errors) ensuring events are recorded, monitored, and reported to Senior Management where necessary
  • Supervision of on-site due diligence reviews of third party services providers for clients and the production of written reports and recommendations resulting from the same 
  • Any other reasonable duties that may be assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in a senior compliance role or position with equivalent responsibilities
  • Extensive knowledge of a funds environment 
  • Professional Compliance Qualification at Diploma level 

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Highly organised and self-sufficient but with the ability to work as a team player 
  • Ability to manage own workload and prioritise accordingly
  • Excellent level of understanding of the Jersey regulatory environment and previous experience of dealing with the JFSC
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate professionally at all levels
  • A high level of tact, diplomacy and confidentiality is essential due to the nature of the work
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word and Excel 
  • Flexible, with the ability to work to time pressures and react calmly to changing demands
