Business Systems Support Technician
Apply for this jobOur client an international law firm are looking to appoint a Business Systems Support technician. In this role you will support the Director of Data Operations with changes, enhancements and corrections to documents and reporting for all company locations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To provide training on Core Systems to all staff for new starters and existing staff requiring ad hoc or routine refresher training
- To review and maintain the Core Systems training materials, systematically and following system developments
- To routinely manage the receipt and processing of ViewPoint support tickets in the support queue
- Manage data quality for, including the running and management of exception reports
- To support the requirements of each office with regard to the data that it needs to keep, maintain and report
- To acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of the business in particular, policies, procedures, processes, systems, central services and compliance and regulatory requirements
- To support and manage, where appropriate, the operational functions of the company
- To develop and maintain close working relationships with all staff
- To develop and maintain close working relationships with all third-parties
- To acquire a robust understanding of the structures used by clients and the reasons for so doing
- To support the data ensuring absolute compliance with KYC procedures
- To routinely monitor and keep abreast of changes in jurisdictional requirements which may affect the data and data-processing
- To work with the Finance team to assist in the data and operational processes
- To support Group strategy, demonstrating the ability to generate innovative and strategic ideas that challenge the status quo
- To undertake projects as requested by the Director of Data Operations
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of one years’ experience in a similar role
- Good training skills; the ability to convey policy and process effectively, across a number of different jurisdictions and time zones, tailoring content and delivery to meet the needs of each session accordingly
- In depth knowledge of ViewPoint, with experience of system configuration and reporting
- Basic knowledge of data extraction tools such as SQL Server Management Studio and report-writing tools such as SSRS (Visual Studios)
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and Word, and strong competence in using Microsoft Office products generally
- Experience of Adex (Practice Management) and Work10 (Document Management) desirable but not mandatory
