Our client is seeking an Associate to join its high-performing legal team in Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified lawyer to develop their career within a leading offshore legal environment, working alongside experienced fee earners on a broad range of complex and high-quality matters. 

The successful candidate will provide technically sound legal advice, build strong relationships with clients and intermediaries, and contribute to the continued success and growth of the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide technically sound legal advice to clients under the supervision of senior fee earners
• Assist in the management of a varied caseload, ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and to the highest standard
• Build and maintain productive relationships with clients, intermediaries and colleagues
• Deliver excellent client service, ensuring clients are kept informed throughout each matter
• Achieve chargeable hours targets and effectively manage work in progress and debt in line with business standards
• Assist in preparing fee estimates and quotations, ensuring transparency around fees and disbursements
• Identify opportunities to introduce clients to the wider range of services offered by the business
• Support the development of junior team members through coaching and knowledge sharing
• Contribute positively to the team's collaborative and high-performing culture

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Qualified Lawyer, ideally with NQ – 2 years' PQE
• Excellent academic background, including a 2:1 degree (or equivalent) and a Commendation or Distinction in the LPC (or equivalent qualification)
• Experience gained within a reputable law firm, ideally from a Magic Circle, Silver Circle or equivalent international practice
• Strong technical legal knowledge with the ability to apply it to complex client matters
