How does Maven build a partnership with our candidates?

We are seeing more and more candidates searching for remote working opportunities, candidates now have more expectations on their working environments and companies have been thrust into adopting this style of working to remain competitive.

Maven has helped several candidates relocate to Jersey for work.  Anjanette Diaz moved from the Philippines to Jersey in January 2022 as a Senior Fund Accountant.

More than 250 islanders have backed a drive by a group of students to get local workplaces to share their gender pay gap statistics.

The petition launched by Year 12s at Jersey College for Girls comes as part of their involvement in the 'Lean In' elective.  The group meets weekly to explore the barriers that still exist for women today, and to become more aware of how they can help shape a more respectful and inclusive society in Jersey and beyond.

Maven has helped several candidates relocate to Jersey for work.  We began speaking with Kathleen on the 4^th August 2021 and we had her a job as a Senior Accountant by the 11^th August, she then moved from the Philippines and began working in Jersey in November.

There are a number of current trends in the island around skills shortages, the first of which is the lack of qualified administrators in all areas of fund and trust admin across the board. There are simply not enough candidates in this area to fill the current requirements of companies who are growing and need these team members. The more forward thinking employers are recruiting school leavers or candidates looking for a “second career” in finance and training them into these more junior roles.
