Bookkeeper (x2 FTC roles)

We have two exciting roles available, one with a leading law firm on a 10-month FTC, and another with a commercial business on a 6-month FTC—with the potential to transition into a permanent position at the end of the contract.
In these roles, you will support the Finance team by handling a range of day-to-day transactions, ensuring smooth and efficient financial operations. From accounts payable and credit control to preparing invoices, reconciliations, and billing, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To provide financial business support to the finance teams
- Processing of transactions on accounting software, to include payments, invoices, receipt of funds
- Processing of inter-group transactions, including recharge invoices
- Record complex transactions on accounting software, to include completion statements and foreign currency transactions
- Periodic bank reconciliations
- Review of chart of accounts and recommend improvements to streamline across entities
- To carry out financial projects at the request of management
- Various reconciliations including supplier and balance sheet account reconciliations, as and when required
- Assist with other financial and operational duties as and when required
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- At least 2 years’ relevant experience in a bookkeeping/accounts assistant role
- Holds a relevant bookkeeping qualification (IAB or similar)
- Experience of working as part of an internal finance role is an advantage
- Have high numeracy and sound technical skills
- Excellent IT skills and proficiency in financial systems
