We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Business Development Manager to support the continued growth of our client’s Banking and Finance service line across Jersey, Guernsey, London and Dubai. Working closely with the global Banking & Finance BD lead, partners and senior lawyers, as well as wider BD and marketing teams, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth, shaping and delivering strategic BD plans, strengthening key client relationships and identifying new opportunities across multiple jurisdictions. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Develop and implement targeted business development plans for the Banking & Finance practice across key jurisdictions
• Work closely with partners and lawyers to identify and progress revenue-generating opportunities
• Support the development and execution of client targeting programmes and strategic campaigns
• Build and strengthen relationships with clients, intermediaries and market contacts
• Enhance market profile through thought leadership, events and targeted engagement activity
• Support cross-selling initiatives across the wider business and global network
• Use CRM and data insights to track activity, identify opportunities and improve targeting effectiveness
• Coordinate and support pitches, proposals and client presentations
• Work with colleagues to ensure BD activity is commercially focused, well-executed and aligned to strategic priorities
• Contribute to continuous improvement of BD processes, tools and best practice across jurisdictions

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Relevant qualification with 7+ years’ experience in business development within a legal or professional services environment
• Strong understanding of the legal/professional services market, with a particular focus on Banking & Finance
• Strong capability in CRM systems, reporting and BD technology tools

• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to translate market insight into actionable BD opportunities
• Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
• Comfortable building trusted relationships and influencing senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions
• Must be Entitled or Entitled to work in Jersey
