Business Development Manager, Corporate & Funds
Apply for this jobWe are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to support the continued growth of our client’s Corporate & Funds service line across Jersey and Guernsey. Working closely with the global Corporate & Funds BD lead, partners, senior lawyers and the wider BD and marketing team, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth, shaping and delivering strategic business development initiatives, strengthening client relationships and identifying new market opportunities across multiple jurisdictions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute targeted business development plans for the Corporate & Funds practice across key jurisdictions
- Partner with lawyers and partners to identify, develop and convert new business opportunities
- Design and deliver client targeting programmes and sector-focused BD campaigns
- Strengthen and maintain relationships with clients, intermediaries and key market contacts
- Support the enhancement of market profile through events, thought leadership and strategic engagement activity
- Drive cross-selling initiatives across practice groups and international offices
- Use CRM and data insights to track activity, identify opportunities and improve BD effectiveness
- Support the preparation of pitches, proposals and client presentations to a high standard
- Ensure BD activity is commercially focused, well prioritised and aligned to strategic goals
- Contribute to the ongoing development of BD tools, processes and best practice across jurisdictions
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Relevant qualification with 7+ years’ experience in business development within a legal or professional services environment
- Strong track record of operating effectively with senior stakeholders and delivering commercially successful BD outcomes
- In-depth understanding of the legal/professional services market, with exposure to Corporate and/or Funds sectors
- Strong capability in CRM systems, reporting and business development technology
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to translate market insight into actionable BD opportunities
- Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
- Comfortable building trusted relationships and influencing senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions
- Must be Entitled or Entitled to work in Jersey
