A unique opportunity has arisen for a senior UK-qualified lawyer (8+ years PQE) to join a prestigious Family Office as their Chief Legal Officer. In this role, you will work directly with the UBO and Head of Family Office, advising on complex matters spanning trusts, private clients, and family-owned global assets.

You’ll provide strategic legal input across multiple jurisdictions and asset classes, from real estate to yachts, aviation, and art collections. This is a high-profile position offering both challenge and influence, ideally suited to a commercially minded lawyer with strong offshore experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide clear, high-level legal advice to the UBO and Head of Family Office
• Oversee and draft corporate minutes, agreements, NDAs, contracts, and related documentation
• Manage the legal aspects of private real estate purchases, lettings, and related transactions
• Advise on trust and SPV structures, substance rules, and transfer pricing matters
• Liaise with international law firms across common and civil law jurisdictions
• Organise board meetings and AGMs, drafting and coordinating all legal documentation
• Support on disputes, litigation, and ad-hoc legal issues affecting the Family Office
• Assess risks and recommend practical mitigation strategies

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• UK-qualified lawyer with at least 8 years’ PQE
• Proven experience in an offshore environment, ideally with exposure to trusts, SPVs, and family office structures
• Strong knowledge of private client work, asset structuring, and cross-border considerations
• Familiarity with civil law concepts (e.g., Foundations) would be advantageous
