Our client a a leading bank in the Eurozone are looking to add a Client Due Diligence Officer to join the busy team.

The successful candidate will manage and oversee the production and ongoing maintenance of client due diligence as part of the client onboarding and periodic review cycles.  The role also offers flexible working and our candidate will even consider two part time people job sharing for the right candidates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Liaising with the company relationship managers, clients, and client administrators
  • The identification of CDD requirements for different client types including complex structures
  • Knowledge of the Jersey AML requirements in relation to SOW/SOF
  • Facilitate and review the account opening documentation, or revisions to current documents, ensuring they have been appropriately signed by the relevant parties
  • Knowledge of client relevant tax forms for CRS and FATCA
  • Responsible for initial sign off of periodic reviews and client onboarding
  • Assist with the ongoing tracking and monitoring of the periodic reviews
  • Update and maintain relevant systems in relation to the client profile
  • Communicate upwards any reporting deficiencies
  • Issue escalation where necessary
  • Preparation of new account requests
  • Monitor the Jersey Account Opening Team Mailbox
  • Monitor the periodic review status ensuring pending reviews are undertaken within the appropriate timeline
  • Update and maintain relevant tracking logs
  • Ensure all documentation is signed and certified
  • Provision of adhoc support as required

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 year of Client Due Diligence or remediation experience
  • A high level of experience relating to on-boarding and periodic reviews of HNW clients, personal and corporates
  • Have a detailed knowledge of CDD, SOW and SOF requirements in Jersey for the above client base
  • Knowledge of CRS & FATCA client documentation completion and plausibility
  • Accustomed to updating procedures relating to client onboarding and periodic reviews
  • Experience within financial markets is essential

  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and on occasion under pressure to analyse information, research possible options and provide logical recommendations
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient user of MS Word, Excel and Access
