We’re working with a forward-thinking, people-focused firm in Jersey that is looking to appoint a Compliance Assistant Manager & MLCO to join their growing Risk and Compliance team.

This is a standout opportunity for a dedicated and ambitious compliance professional ready to step into a leadership role with MLCO responsibilities. The position would suit someone with previous experience in compliance monitoring, AML frameworks, and regulatory reporting — ideally at senior officer or assistant manager level — who is ready to take the next step in their career.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as MLCO and ensure all relevant reporting and obligations are met under local regulatory frameworks
  • Support the execution of the compliance monitoring programme and risk assessments
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AML/CFT and other regulatory requirements
  • Provide day-to-day compliance advice to the business and act as a trusted point of contact
  • Prepare regulatory filings and assist with regulatory inspections
  • Contribute to policy and procedure reviews, ensuring alignment with evolving legislation
  • Work closely with senior management and key stakeholders across jurisdictions
  • Act as DMLRO, managing suspicious activity reporting, subject to relevant approvals

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience in a compliance role within the financial services sector
  • Understanding of AML/CFT obligations and regulatory frameworks in Jersey
  • Experience acting in or supporting MLCO or equivalent compliance positions preferred
  • Relevant compliance or financial services qualifications (ICA, STEP, ICSA, etc.)
