Are you a compliance professional with a strong grasp of regulatory requirements in the Channel Islands? Our client, a prestigious law firm, is seeking a Compliance Monitoring Officer to join their dynamic Risk & Compliance function on a fixed-term contract (9 months) starting in March.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to group-wide compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and upholding industry best practices and professional standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the execution of compliance monitoring activities across the group, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures to meet legal and regulatory obligations
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits, identifying potential areas of risk and recommending improvements
  • Liaise with internal teams to provide advice and support on compliance matters
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes, ensuring the business remains compliant and proactive in adapting to new requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a compliance function
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements affecting a law firm and trust company
  • Experience of refreshing and administering a Compliance Monitoring Programme in line with the changing risks and regulatory environment
  • Holding or working towards a relevant compliance-related qualification

  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Must be Entitled or Entitled to work in Jersey
