Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Corporate Treasurer is a key finance professional responsible for managing and overseeing the financial activities and liquidity of the Company. The individual will initially be responsible for establishing the treasury functions, including internal controls, policies and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement and maintain treasury systems, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency
  • Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other external stakeholders
  • Responsible for day-to-day cash management activities
  • Evaluate funding alternatives and recommend appropriate financing options
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial covenants and compliance reporting requirements
  • Prepare and present accurate financial reports
  • Identify and assess financial risks, such as interest rate, foreign exchange, credit, and liquidity risks
  • Monitor, analyse, and forecast the company's cash flow position to ensure sufficient liquidity
  • Leverage technology as a driver of efficiency
  • Support senior management on the execution of acquisitions
  • Engage with Senior Management and report on Treasury matters to the Board
  • Collaborate and oversee functions through strong team management

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Treasury Professional) is preferred
  • Proven experience in a Treasury capacity
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, investment instruments, cash management techniques, and treasury best practices
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, risk assessment, and financial modeling
  • Familiarity with treasury systems and technology
