Our client, a successful and dynamic law firm, is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join their ambitious and friendly in-house Data Team within Information Services.

In this role, you'll enjoy a varied and interesting workload, collaborating with a range of Information Services professionals. You'll be at the forefront of designing, creating, and deploying enterprise-scale data analytics solutions, playing a crucial role in transforming data into valuable insights that drive business decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines 
• Implement and maintain the Data Warehouse, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Stewards, and other cross-functional teams 
• Create and maintain data documentation, including data catalogues and architecture diagrams
• Optimise data storage and retrieval processes for improved performance
• Participate in data governance efforts
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries and optimise database performance
• Working knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies
• Familiarity with Python for data processing and analysis
• Hands-on experience implementing ETL/ELT best practices at scale
• Understanding of data pipeline orchestration tools
• Knowledge of data governance principles and practices
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
