KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, ensuring data is accurate, reliable, and accessible
- Build and manage data models, data warehouses, and reporting solutions
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable solutions
- Deploy and optimise solutions in cloud-based data platforms
- Apply data governance and best practices to ensure compliance and integrity
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, adopting DataOps and DevOps practices
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database concepts
- Programming experience — ideally Python, but R, Java, Scala, or similar also welcome
- Experience with or strong interest in data warehousing concepts
- Hands-on experience (or strong theoretical knowledge with enthusiasm to apply it) in ETL/ELT
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, or Snowflake
- Familiarity with orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow, Azure Data Factory)
- Knowledge of data governance principles
- Experience with Git or other version control systems
- Understanding of DataOps/DevOps practices
- Background in financial services or legal sectors is desirable
