KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee and manage the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Be responsible for the smooth operation of Payroll for a portfolio of companies
• Manage day-to-day transactional accounting, including accounts payable, journal postings, accruals, prepayments, and corrections as needed
• Maintain general ledger, apply double-entry bookkeeping, and ensure robust accounting controls
• Manage transactional finance activities including reconciliations, cross-charging, and reporting
• Prepare financial reports and analysis to support business decision-making
• Ensure accurate use of accounting software and maintain up-to-date records
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations
• Assist with tax compliance
• Support the preparation for internal and external audits by ensuring clear audit trails and documentation of processes

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Part or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or qualified by experience in a similar role
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and accounting controls
• Proven experience with transactional finance and reconciliations
• Proficiency with accounting software (Xero preferred)
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with Microsoft Office tools
