The Finance Process Excellence and People Lead will play a critical role in redesigning finance processes and supporting the behavioural and capability change required to embed modern, efficient ways of working. Sitting at the intersection of process innovation, systems enablement, and people change, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys driving improvement while bringing teams on the journey.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the redesign and optimisation of end-to-end finance processes to support a future-focused finance function
- Drive behavioural and capability change, ensuring new processes and systems are successfully embedded into day-to-day operations
- Partner with finance leadership and wider stakeholders to translate transformation initiatives into practical, sustainable ways of working
- Support the adoption of new systems and tools, ensuring strong controls and governance are maintained
- Identify capability gaps within the finance function and support the development of skills, knowledge, and ways of working
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence across finance teams
- Ensure process improvements deliver measurable benefits, including efficiency, quality, and risk mitigation
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
- Fully qualified accountant with a recognised UK professional designation
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance, with a strong focus on process improvement and transformation
- Demonstrable experience driving change within finance functions, including process redesign and people adoption
- Background within professional services or complex, regulated environments is advantageous

- Confident communicator, able to influence stakeholders at all levels
