We have an excellent opportunity to join an exciting and rapidly growing commercial business as a Financial Accountant.

The successful candidate will contribute to the preparation and delivery of the accounting and reporting requirements of the business.  This is an exciting chance for a confident and capable candidate to move in-house and really make the role their own.  For the ideal candidate licences will be made available so we would welcome applicants considering a move to the island.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Calculation, accounting, and arranging cash settlement of periodic intercompany loan interest
• Assist in the preparation of appropriate governance documentation, including intercompany loan agreements, and ensuring ongoing compliance/adherence therewith
• Assist in the preparation of cash funding payment instructions, obtaining their approval, and owning the process to see instructions through to execution
• Project lead for the investigation and resolution of catch-up intercompany accounting and reconciliation
• Responsible for the bookkeeping, accounting and reconciliation of intercompany funding arrangements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Hold a recognised accounting qualification with 3+ years PQE, or equivalent relevant experience
• Real Estate accounting experience beneficial, but not essential
• Experience gained from working for a top/mid-tier accountancy firm would be beneficial
• Practical working knowledge of UK GAAP as applicable to UK and other jurisdictional entities
• Prior experience of working with disparate accounting systems and large volumes of transactional data
• Elementary knowledge of UK and Jersey corporate income and sales taxes (VAT & GST)
