You will work closely with the Global Operations Director on developing and delivering a robust set of controls as part of the first line of defence to ensure that client entity records remain up to date and regular monitoring is completed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop a strategy to build an effective first line of defence model using technology and expertise
- Set up a Business Assurance team to support the completion of client entity periodic reviews alongside jurisdictional team members
- Take responsibility for the client entity periodic review processes
- Be the business owner of policies and procedures relating to client entity periodic reviews and monitoring
- Manage the technology and reporting framework for client entity periodic reviews
- Develop and manage a system for tracking and managing actions coming out of the client entity periodic review process
- Consider data integrity in core systems as part of the client entity periodic review process and raise any data integrity issues with the relevant team
- Work closely with the business solutions team on data integrity rules
- Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements
- Keep current with latest technologies and regulatory requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Suitable accounting, compliance or governance qualification
- Proven experience within a relevant role at a trust company business, Bank, Auditor (accounting firm) or in an Operational Risk role or equivalent
- Good understanding of regulatory obligations across different jurisdictions
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Ability to demonstrate a flexible and pro-active approach to problem solving
- A passion for technology solutions. Knowledge of Viewpoint would be beneficial
- What is essential is the enthusiasm and capacity to learn and develop including taking initiative to learn new skills and create effective solutions for the Governance Services team
- Proactive, have a positive outlook and be well-organised, with good personal management skills and with a proven record of taking ownership of projects and responsibility for ensuring completion
- Good verbal and written communication skills are essential
