Apply for this jobWe’re supporting a respected, multi-jurisdictional professional services organisation in their search for a Head of Finance Operations. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing the Group’s financial operations — including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, and cash management.
As part of the Finance Leadership Team, you will work closely with the CFO and Head of Finance to ensure the financial infrastructure across the business is streamlined, compliant, and aligned with strategic priorities.
This role is ideally suited to a candidate with a deep operational finance background in a law firm, trust company, or wider professional services setting, looking to step into a broader leadership role with cross-jurisdictional responsibility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage financial operations across the Group, including AP/AR, billing, collections, and cash management
- Drive continuous improvement and automation of financial processes to support efficiency and compliance
- Support regulatory compliance with client money and cash handling rules, particularly within a law firm context
- Oversee the team’s performance and development, building a collaborative and high-performing culture
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and senior leadership to ensure finance operations support business strategy
- Deliver insights into operational finance risks, controls, and systems
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience in financial operations in a law firm, trust company, or professional services firm
- "ACA", "ACCA", or "CIMA" qualification is preferred but not essential depending on experience
- In-depth experience with accounts payable/receivable, billing & collections, and cash management
- Understanding of client money handling regulations within legal or regulated environments
- Knowledge of relevant systems such as Elite and/or ViewPoint is highly desirable
