Head of Finance & Tax, Family Office
Apply for this jobWe are seeking an exceptional Head of Finance & Tax to join a prestigious Family Office based in Turkey. This is a senior leadership opportunity responsible for shaping the Family Office's financial strategy, tax governance and operational transformation across a diverse international portfolio of investments, trusts and operating businesses.
Working closely with the Managing Director and family principals, you will play a critical role in driving financial performance, ensuring tax efficiency, strengthening governance and supporting long-term wealth creation across multiple jurisdictions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the Family Office's financial strategy, planning and performance, ensuring alignment with the principals' long-term objectives
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial reporting and group consolidation across a complex multi-entity structure
- Develop and implement a comprehensive tax strategy, ensuring compliance with applicable international tax regulations while optimising tax efficiency
- Provide strategic financial advice on capital allocation, investment performance, liquidity management and business growth opportunities
- Oversee the financial governance of a diversified investment portfolio
- Ensure robust financial controls, risk management frameworks and governance processes are embedded across the organisation
- Lead relationships with auditors, tax advisors, financial institutions and other external professional advisers
- Drive operational transformation through the implementation and optimisation of ERP systems, financial reporting tools and process automation
- Deliver high-quality financial reporting and performance dashboards to support strategic decision-making by senior leadership and family principals
- Support wealth preservation initiatives, including trust structures, estate planning, succession planning and private wealth reporting
- Monitor changes in financial, tax and regulatory legislation across relevant jurisdictions, ensuring ongoing compliance and proactive risk management
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
- MBA and/or professional qualification is highly desirable
- 12–18 years' senior leadership experience across finance, tax and investment functions
- Proven experience within a Family Office, Private Equity, Investment Management, Financial Services or a similarly sophisticated environment
- Strong experience managing complex, multi-entity and cross-border corporate structures
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, group consolidation, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow modelling
- Strong technical expertise in international tax compliance, governance and cross-border structuring
- Experience implementing and managing ERP platforms & similar financial systems
- Strong investment analysis experience, including financial modelling, valuation techniques, due diligence and portfolio performance monitoring
- Experience working with trusts, estate planning and private wealth structures is highly advantageousÂ
