Our client, a leading international law firm based in Jersey, is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Revenue to join their finance leadership team. This newly created role will take overall responsibility for managing the firm’s working capital across their global legal operations, focusing on implementing efficient financial processes that align with industry best practices. Previous experience in a Head of or Senior Manager role within Revenue Management at a law firm is essential to be considered for this position.

While the firm is headquartered in Jersey, this position offers fully remote working, making it open to candidates based anywhere in the UK (including Northern Ireland), the Channel Islands, or Ireland. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Take ownership of the management of working capital, ensuring robust financial oversight of billing and credit control functions
• Implement and lead strategies to manage Work In Progress (WIP) and debt across the firm, aligning processes with best practices in the legal industry
• Work closely with senior stakeholders to support decision-making and ensure alignment of revenue processes with business goals
• Drive continuous improvement in billing and credit control operations, ensuring effective management and optimisation of working capital
• Lead and mentor a team, creating a culture of efficiency, collaboration, and excellence within the finance function

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Previous experience working in a Head of/ Senior manager role within a Revenue Management of a law firm is essential
• Qualified accountant who holds a relevant qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW)
• 5 years' experience within a law firm or professional services setting
• Ability to influence behaviour at Partner and senior management level
• Lean Six Sigma or other efficiency qualifications desirable

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES: 

• A collaborative approach with excellent client service attitude
• Strong people management skills with at least 3 years' experience of leading and developing billing and credit control teams is essential
• Strong IT skills in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel
