We are proud to be supporting our client, a leading trust and fund services provider, to recruit a Head of Risk & Compliance – Trust & Funds. This is a senior role, with responsibility for key regulatory appointments where required, and oversight of risk and compliance across all trust licences and fund structures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide assurance to the Board, regulators, and stakeholders that regulatory, conduct, financial crime, and operational risks are appropriately identified, mitigated, and managed
  • Lead a unified risk and compliance framework across multiple jurisdictions
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Jersey Trust & Funds Risk and Compliance team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
  • Hold key regulatory appointments for trust and fund structures where required
  • Act as the senior point of oversight for all risk and compliance matters across the business
  • Implement, maintain, and enhance risk and compliance frameworks to meet evolving regulatory standards
  • Support the Board in strategic decision-making with a clear focus on risk mitigation

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • ICA Diploma (or equivalent), ACAMS, or other relevant professional qualification.
  • Extensive experience leading Risk & Compliance within:
    • Trust & fiduciary services and/or
    • Fund administration / fund governance businesses
  • Deep understanding of:
    • Trust company regulation
    • Fund structures (regulated and unregulated)
    • AML/CFT frameworks
    • Corporate and fiduciary governance

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • High integrity and professional credibility
  • Skilled at influencing senior management and the board
  • Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex regulatory concepts clearly
  • Must be Entitled or Entitled to work in Jersey
