The HR Manager will play a pivotal role in all matters People related, closely supported by the Firm's Chief Operating Officer, this role encompasses all aspects of HR.  If you're passionate about people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are eager to make a real impact we would love to hear from you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintenance and ongoing development of the People Systems
  • Prepare and process Monthly Payroll reports for approval by the Chief Operating Officer
  • Maintain, understand and advise on employment Policies and Procedures
  • Manage the Recruitment of new members of staff
  • Assist in the identification of Learning & Development needs at all levels
  • To be available to all staff as a Trusted Advisor for personal matters pertaining to their employment
  • Manage the Absence Management Policy
  • Oversee the Appraisal process
  • Oversee the implementation and subsequent monitoring of Personal Improvement Plans
  • Administer Disciplinary Processes as and when they are required
  • Manage the firm’s benefits schemes
  • Drive the firm’s social sctivities
  • Liaise with external agencies and Government Bodies as necessary, including the Population Office and Immigration Service

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Ideally be qualified to at least CIPD Level 5, but the company is willing to support the training to reach that level
  • Technical knowledge and experience in an HR generalist role
  • Eagerness to further develop, and study within the CIPD courses and qualifications
  • A thorough understanding of Jersey Employment Law & best practices
