Interim Finance Manager / Associate Director
Apply for this jobWe are supporting a leading organisation seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to provide hands-on support to the Finance team during the annual budget process. This is a three-month contract, with the potential to extend by a further month, and would suit a Manager/Assistant Director-level finance professional with strong budgeting experience and advanced Excel skills.
Joining in mid-September, you will work closely with Finance, local Finance teams and support functions across the Group, picking up key tasks and pressure points to keep the budget process on track and ensure delivery against tight timelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with support functions including Operations, Marketing, People and Legal on cost budgets
- Support the Cost Management team with the preparation of cost budget templates
- Assist the Finance Operations team with the preparation of draft revenue budgets
- Work directly with individual business units on revenue budgets, ensuring a consistent approach and process
- Consolidate administration cost budgets submitted by local Finance teams into Group reporting sheets
- Prepare variance analysis against FY26 outturn
- Roll the Excel budget model forward for the new financial year, covering 25 P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow models, together with the Group consolidation sheet
- Work with local Financial Controllers on the monthly phasing of budgets
- Provide additional hands-on support across the Finance team, picking up tasks where required to keep the overall budget process moving
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Qualified accountant with significant experience in a commercial Finance environment
- Advanced Excel skills and highly confident working with complex spreadsheets and financial models
- Proven experience of working on complex budgeting and forecasting processes
- Previous experience operating at Finance Manager / Associate Director level
- Strong understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow budgeting
- Experience working across multiple business units and/or jurisdictions would be advantageous
- Available to commence in mid-September for an initial three-month contract
