We are supporting a leading international law firm in the search for an experienced Legal Counsel to join their high-performing team in Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer to work on complex, high-value matters, advising a diverse client base including financial institutions, corporates and private clients across multiple jurisdictions.

This role would suit a lawyer who thrives in a professional services environment, enjoys working on technically challenging matters, and is motivated by delivering clear, pragmatic advice within a collaborative and fast-paced practice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Advise clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial legal matters
• Work closely with partners and senior lawyers on complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of legal documentation
• Manage matters effectively, ensuring deadlines, budgets and client expectations are met
• Contribute to business development initiatives and support the growth of the practice
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory developments

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Qualified lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister or equivalent)
• Ideally 3+ years’ PQE, gained within a recognised law firm
• Experience in corporate, finance, funds, or commercial law (flexible depending on team)
• Exposure to working with international clients or cross-border matters is advantageous
• Strong technical skills with the ability to deliver commercially focused advice
