We're working with a well-regarded financial services organisation that is looking to appoint an experienced Operational Risk Manager to support the ongoing development and delivery of its risk management programme.

This is a great opportunity for a senior risk professional who enjoys working cross-functionally, designing and enhancing operational risk frameworks, and engaging with stakeholders at all levels. The role would suit someone who thrives in a regulated, fast-paced environment, with a strong understanding of risk, controls, and governance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the development and maintenance of operational risk frameworks, tools, and strategies
• Conduct regular risk assessments and control evaluations across business units
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks
• Monitor risk indicators and provide timely, insightful reporting to senior management and regulators
• Drive best practice across risk policies and procedures, ensuring regulatory alignment
• Support incident management, root cause analysis, and lessons learned processes

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 8+ years' experience in operational risk or risk management roles within financial services or a regulated environment
• Deep knowledge of risk frameworks (e.g., Basel standards) and operational risk methodologies
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks and governance best practices
• Previous experience working within Guernsey or similar offshore financial jurisdictions
• Familiarity with Channel Islands regulations and GFSC expectations is highly desirable
• Experience with GRC systems and tools would be an advantage
