We are seeking a qualified External Audit Senior to join our client’s Financial Services audit practice. This role is suited to a proactive professional who can take ownership of end-to-end audit delivery, coordinate across global teams, and ensure high-quality execution across complex engagements in a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure audit engagements are correctly set up, including access provisioning for key tools (e.g., Aura, Connect, Phoenix) and appropriate team allocation
• Consider and assess all relevant material events and developments that may impact audit scope, risk, or procedures
• Initiate and participate in discussions with global component teams to gather insights and ensure consistent application of audit procedures
• Identify, analyse, and document audit issues, misstatements, and significant matters clearly and comprehensively
• Monitor progress of team members and client deliverables; own and maintain the project plan, escalating deviations or risks promptly
• Review risk assessments and audit workpapers, discussing updates with the Engagement Manager to ensure quality and consistency
• Coach and develop junior team members, balancing workloads and supporting their professional growth
• Manage client communications, meetings, timelines, and priorities, while supporting budgeting and resourcing discussions
• Drive preparation for audit file archiving and completion of quality control checks
• Contribute to debriefs with teams and clients, recommending actionable improvements for future engagements 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: 

• ICEAW, ACCA or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience in external audit
• Prior experience working with clients in the financial services sector
• Proven experience in leading small teams and coaching junior staff
