Senior Corporate Accountant
Apply for this jobOur client, an innovative investment firm are looking to add a Senior Corporate Accountant to the team.
The successful candidate will provide a dependable and professional corporate accounting service to all areas of the business, whilst supporting the existing team with, often time-critical, departmental objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide accurate and timely monthly reporting to both internal and external stakeholders
- Strategic analytical support to departmental heads on business performance that allows them to make both short and long term plans
- Provide regulatory reporting to each of the regulatory bodies with oversight for a group entity
- The role will require the preparation of financial statements across various jurisdictions, including group consolidated accounts and audit liaison
- Finance Operations processing and management
- Ensure payments are processed accurately and on time, perform credit control functions, reconcile treasury and cash positions
- Develop and monitor the annual budget, with a particular focus on the preparation and analysis of the budget
- Other project work as the Head of Corporate Accounting may advise
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Educated to degree (or equivalent) level or higher
- ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualified
- Ideally, a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role
- The candidate will come from a financial services background
- Knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS is essential and knowledge US GAAP, Singapore GAAP and Chinese GAAP would be advantageous, but not essential
- Knowledge of Jersey FSB, UK FCA, Swiss and Singapore regulatory environments would be advantageous
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with consolidation would be advantageous
- Experience with SAP would be advantageous, but not essential
- Attention to detail and strong technical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
