Apply for this jobWe are partnering with a leading organisation to recruit a Senior Finance Business Partner who will play a pivotal role in shaping commercial decision-making and driving financial performance across the business. This is a high-impact position for a commercially minded finance professional, with hybrid working supported.
Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, including the Executive Committee and Board, you will provide robust financial analysis, challenge, and guidance to support strategic objectives. The role sits at the heart of the organisation, bridging finance and the wider business to ensure financial outcomes are aligned with commercial priorities and long-term value creation.
The ideal candidate will come from a pure FP&A background, as this role will purely focus on FP&A work. If you are an accountant who never wants to post a journal entry again, and wants to only get involved in Commercial Finance, this role could be for you! The ideal candidate will already be in a commercial business, and is unlikely to come back from a FS sector background.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with senior stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight, challenge and strategic guidance
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes to support effective decision-making
- Deliver high-quality financial analysis, performance reporting and variance analysis
- Develop robust business cases to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions
- Translate complex financial and operational data into clear insights, identifying trends, risks and opportunities
- Support the Executive Committee and Board through insightful financial reporting and analysis
- Drive performance management by providing proactive recommendations to improve commercial outcomes
- Act as the key link between finance and operational teams, ensuring alignment between financial performance and strategic priorities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of financial planning, reporting and business partnering processes
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
- Significant experience in a business-facing finance role
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and performance reporting
- Experience working closely with senior stakeholders and leadership teams
- Proven leadership capability
- Advanced Excel capability
