An established and highly regarded professional services firm is seeking a Senior HR Officer to join its HR function. This role is ideal for a confident HR professional who enjoys operating in a fast-paced, people-centric environment and who is ready to take ownership of key HR processes. You will work closely with the HR Manager to deliver a high-quality, efficient HR service across the firm.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step up, broaden their responsibilities, and gain exposure to the full HR lifecycle within a respected organisation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a first point of contact for HR queries, providing accurate and timely advice to employees and managers
  • Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, development planning, and offboarding
  • Oversee HR administration, ensuring records, policies and documentation are up to date and compliant
  • Coordinate learning and development initiatives, including training bookings, follow-up and tracking attendance
  • Assist with employee relations matters by providing guidance, preparing documentation and attending meetings as required
  • Maintain HR systems and produce reports to support decision-making
  • Support HR-led projects, process improvements, and policy updates
  • Work closely with senior leadership to drive a positive, high-performance culture

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in HR, ideally within a law firm or wider professional services environment
  • CIPD Level 3 or 5 (or working towards) preferred
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, employment legislation, and best practice
  • Experience managing confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of tasks
