Senior Manager, Client Accounting
Apply for this jobOur Client is looking for a Senior Manager to join the Client Accounting team. The successful candidate will manage, control and direct an efficient and effective client entity bookkeeping and accounting function for the Private Clients Department. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer you will ensure that client entity accounts are produced on a timely and accurate basis (and within any relevant legal or regulatory requirements). As a member of the Senior Management Team you will actively participate in implementing the agreed strategy of the Company’s Business so that Financial Objectives are met.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing the production of all bookkeeping and client accounting
- Controlling, monitoring, and reporting on annual accounts preparation to ensure all accounts are dealt with within a timely manner, including outsourced clients

- To liaise with the overseas office and ensure that outsourced accounts and bookkeeping is within prescribed limits; training and guiding the team when required
- Work with Senior Management Team colleagues in the review, checking and collation of data for external reporting
- Providing weekly reporting of the Accounts preparation and Bookkeeping status information
- Setting and agreeing accounts preparation targets for each member of the client accounting team
- Carrying out an on-going review of the bookkeeping and client accounting processes to ensure maximum efficiency
- Budgeting for and managing chargeable time for the team
- To actively encourage the development of staff by effective performance assessment, appraisals, training, and development
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must be a qualified professional either by ACCA / ACA / ICAEW and have a minimum of 5 years post qualification trust and company accounts preparation experience
- Strong technical knowledge of bookkeeping and financial statement preparation for Trusts & Companies
- To hold relevant supervisory skills in dealing with staff
