Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Client Compliance to lead the prevention, detection and reporting of financial crime risks across a diverse portfolio of regulated and supervised client structures. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced compliance professional to hold Key Person appointments, provide independent oversight, and work closely with Boards, senior management and regulators to ensure the highest standards of regulatory compliance and governance are maintained. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hold Key Person appointments, including Compliance Officer (CO), Money Laundering Compliance Officer (MLCO) and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), for a portfolio of regulated and supervised entities
  • Lead the prevention, detection and reporting of financial crime risks across managed trust companies, money services businesses, funds, Jersey Private Funds and other regulated structures
  • Act as the primary point of contact with the Jersey Financial Services Commission,
  • Oversee and maintain effective AML, CFT, CPF and sanctions frameworks
  • Provide expert regulatory and financial crime advice to Boards, senior management and business stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making
  • Deliver independent oversight of compliance and risk management frameworks
  • Escalate regulatory risks, breaches and control weaknesses in a timely and appropriate manner, ensuring effective remediation
  • Where multiple Key Person appointments are held, ensure appropriate segregation of duties and effective management of actual or potential conflicts of interest 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 10 years' compliance experience within the fiduciary, corporate or funds sector
  • Extensive knowledge of Jersey's regulatory framework, including AML, CFT, CPF and sanctions requirements
  • Proven experience holding or performing Key Person responsibilities, including CO, MLCO and/or MLRO appointments
  • Recognised compliance qualification, such as ICA, or currently working towards one
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance, risk management and regulatory best practice

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Confident leader with the ability to influence, challenge and advise Boards and senior stakeholders
  • Must be Entitled or Entitled to work in Jersey
