Senior Manager, Compliance
Apply for this jobWe are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Compliance to join our client’s team in a key leadership role, supporting the effective oversight of regulatory and compliance matters across a diverse portfolio of regulated businesses. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced compliance professional to work closely with senior stakeholders, providing expert regulatory guidance, strengthening compliance frameworks, and helping to ensure the business continues to meet the highest standards of governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the effective oversight of regulatory and compliance matters across a range of regulated entities
- Work closely with the appointed Compliance Officer (CO), Money Laundering Compliance Officer (MLCO) and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to maintain effective compliance and AML/CFT/CPF frameworks
- Act as Deputy Key Person (DCO, DMLCO and DMLRO), providing support and continuity across key regulatory functions
- Oversee compliance across a varied portfolio including trust company businesses, money services businesses, Jersey Private Funds and other regulated structures
- Provide clear, practical and commercially focused regulatory advice to business partners and senior stakeholders
- Coordinate, enhance and deliver the Compliance Monitoring Programme
- Monitor regulatory developments, assessing their impact and supporting the implementation of required changes across the business
- Support ongoing engagement with the Jersey Financial Services Commission
- Assist in the identification, assessment and management of regulatory and financial crime risks
- Deliver compliance training and promote a strong culture of compliance and ethical conduct throughout the business
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Significant experience within a compliance, risk or regulatory role in the financial services sector
- Experience within corporate, trust, fiduciary or fund services is highly desirable
- Strong working knowledge of Jersey's regulatory framework
- Exposure to Deputy Key Person responsibilities preferred
- Good understanding of the regulatory frameworks applicable to trust company businesses, money services businesses, Jersey Private Funds, Schedule 2 entities and other regulated structures
- Professional compliance qualification, such as ICA (or working towards), is preferred
