Do you have a passion for risk management and compliance?  As the Senior Manager, Risk & Compliance, you’ll play a pivotal role in safeguarding the business integrity and ensuring regulatory adherence. You will work closely with the Head of Risk and the Head of Compliance to provide essential risk and compliance support across the organisation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the New Business process – co-ordinating with 1LOD teams to enable an efficient and collaborative client onboarding experience for all involved.
  • Assist the Head of Compliance as MLCO in meeting applicable AML/CFT/CPF statutory, regulatory requirements
  • Assist the Compliance Manager responsible for the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP) with developing and delivering the CMP to ensure it is carried out in a timely manner, assist with the reporting of findings, identify themes, and suggest recommendations/solutions
  • Support the Head of Risk in their role as MLRO with a view to deputising as DMLRO (subject to Board approval)
  • Review and consider new legislation and regulation recommending amendments and implementation of relevant monitoring, procedures and policies etc
  • Support MLCO and CO with Business-related regulatory/AML/CFT/CFP queries
  • Provide suggestions on ways to make improvements to the Compliance function to Head of Compliance and/or Board
  • Ongoing analysis of the effectiveness and adequacy of documented Policies & Procedures, ensuring any changes to the regulatory environment are sufficiently considered and revised
  • Assist in the production of regular compliance reports including MI and statistical analysis of failures and issues to identify causes and remedial actions
  • Any other reasonable duties that may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ Compliance experience, ideally working in a trust environment
  • Professional Compliance Qualification at Diploma level preferable

  • A high level of sensitivity, diplomacy and confidentiality is essential due to the nature of the work
  • Ability to be proactive with very close attention to detail to ensure work is of a consistently high standard
  • Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Flexible, with the ability to work to time pressures
  • To be aware of the limits of his/her decision-making entitlement and not to take risks in this regard
