KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain the risk management model; enhancing the existing framework
• Lead the risk committees at holding company and individual entity levels
• Develop risk control mechanisms, key risk indicators and appropriate reporting structures
• Define reporting structures for the escalation of potential issues and solutions
• Perform independent risk assessments of new products and services
• Own, run and contribute to the risk assessment process for new clients
• Keep up to date with the of the regulatory risk management requirements and build credible relationships with the regulators in all relevant jurisdictions
• Work with front line process owners and risk owners to continuously improve the operational risk framework to ensure best in class standards
• Own and/or contribute to policies and procedures where risk is concerned
• Contribute to audits as required
• Undertaking any other such duties as may be reasonably required by the role

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Significant senior experience in the risk domain in a financial institution
• Knowledge of industry best practice, legislation and regulation relating to core markets
• Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills with experience working in /or with multiple jurisdictions
