Our client a Jersey based hedge fund manager are seeking a Senior Tax Associate. This would suit a candidate with previous exposure to core tax areas (e.g. corporate tax, indirect tax, AEOI, etc).

The successful candidate will support the Senior Tax Manager in providing a dependable and professional tax service to all areas of the business, with a focus on tax compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare quarterly and annual corporate tax computations for all operating entities
  • Assist in the preparation of deferred tax calculations on an annual basis
  • Prepare quarterly indirect tax returns for operating entities
  • Utilise accounting information to prepare summary information for payroll and personal tax purposes
  • Assist with corporate tax initiatives and projects
  • Update and maintain FATCA and CRS documentation for corporate and fund entities
  • Assist with information gathering and review in relation to various filings for fund entities
  • Gather information for external personal tax advisors and assist with the interpretation of individual tax rules for certain employees/partners
  • Prepare tax analysis, in line with existing templates, for shareholders and other internal reporting purposes
  • Other project work under the supervision of the Senior Tax Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • In-depth knowledge of all areas of tax in various jurisdictions
  • Previous exposure to core tax areas (e.g. corporate tax, indirect tax, AEOI, etc.)
  • Educated to ‘A’ level (or equivalent)
  • Fully qualified (CTA, ACA or ACCA)
  • Minimum of 1yrs post qualification tax experience
  • Big 4 or Top 10 accountancy firm background
  • Ideally come from a financial services background
  • Knowledge and experience with international tax issues would be advantageous, but not essential
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with accounting software would be advantageous, but not essential
