Senior Tax Manager
Apply for this jobWe are working on behalf of a highly regarded Family Office with an international footprint, seeking to appoint a Senior Tax Manager to take ownership of tax compliance across a diverse portfolio of UK, EU, and Jersey entities.
This is a rare opportunity to join a sophisticated, relationship-driven environment where you will gain broad exposure to complex structures and play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making. While there is flexibility to split time between London and Jersey, candidates should expect to spend a minimum of 6 months per year in Jersey.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all tax compliance matters across UK/EU/Jersey entities
- Manage and oversee corporate tax compliance, including timely preparation and submission of returns
- Take responsibility for Economic Substance Reporting (ESR) requirements for Jersey entities
- Support tax planning and structuring, including funding arrangements, WHT compliance, and TRCs
- Prepare detailed supporting schedules and documentation for tax filings
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Corporate Assurance teams to gather data and ensure accuracy of reporting
- Assist with preparation of materials for Jersey Board meetings, including quarterly reporting
- Liaise with tax authorities, handling queries, audits, and enquiries through to resolution
- Ensure internal processes are followed and compliance deadlines are consistently met
- Prepare presentations, memos, and meeting minutes as required
- Coordinate regular meetings with advisors and internal teams to manage workflows and highlight risks
- Provide proactive updates to senior stakeholders and reporting lines
- Support director services, including preparation of board minutes where required
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA preferred)
- Minimum 5 years’ post-qualified experience in accounting/tax
- Background ideally gained within a Big 4 or leading accountancy firm
- Strong experience in UK Corporation Tax compliance (or similar Commonwealth jurisdictions)
- Working knowledge of international tax principles
- Experience with Economic Substance Reporting (ESR) in Jersey is essential
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- Strong sense of accountability with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills; articulate and confident when liaising with stakeholders and authorities
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Must be Entitled or Entitled to work in Jersey
