KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• ​Manage the development of the Sustainability Strategy in line with industry frameworks & standards
• Work closely with the Commercial Team, Senior Management to ensure the company aligns with global sustainability standards while meeting local regulatory and community expectations
• Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of ESG data and performance metrics
• Foster a culture of sustainability through employee training and awareness programs
• Act as an advocate and expert for sustainability internally and externally, representing the bank in industry forums and events
• Identify opportunities for integrating sustainability into business operations,
• Lead on sustainability elements being built into new products and services
• Build sustainability management information / reporting
• Adhere to CPD (Continued Professional Development) requirements in accordance with qualification level and in-house procedures

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Degree level education in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field - or equivalent professional experience in a Sustainability role
• Understanding of ESG principles, frameworks and regulation
• Proven experience in a sustainability role

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:

• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships both within the company and the wider business environment in order to achieve sustainability objectives
• Numeric / commercial acumen
• ​Ability to engage across teams
• Strong MS application skills, particularly excel
• Must be Entitled or Entitled to work in Jersey
