Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Technology Governance Specialist will lead and coordinate technology risk, quality management and assurance activities across the technology function. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the System of Quality Management (SoQM) in accordance with the Quality Management for Service Excellence (QMSE) framework.

This is a key governance role requiring a strong understanding of technology risk, quality management, information security and assurance practices, combined with the ability to translate policies, standards and regulatory requirements into practical, proportionate controls that support business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and coordinate technology governance, risk and quality management activities across the technology function
  • Maintain and enhance the Technology System of Quality Management (SoQM), ensuring alignment with the Quality Management for Service Excellence (QMSE) framework
  • Fulfil Quality Management Review (QMR) responsibilities relating to Objective 11 and support ongoing quality management initiatives
  • Drive compliance with Network Standards, Information Security Policies (ISP) and associated technology governance requirements
  • Support and promote ISO 27001-aligned information security practices across technology teams
  • Develop, implement and monitor technology controls
  • Coordinate technology risk assessments, control testing and assurance activities
  • Plan and execute governance reviews
  • Coordinate internal audit readiness activities and act as a key point of contact during audits and reviews
  • Provide governance, risk and quality management guidance to stakeholders across the business
  • Prepare reporting and insights for senior leadership, including the CIO and relevant governance forums
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Information Systems or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of ISO 27001-aligned practices and enterprise Information Security Policies (ISP)
  • Proven experience planning and conducting reviews
  • Experience coordinating internal audits and responding to audit findings and recommendations
  • Familiarity with Quality Management for Service Excellence (QMSE), Quality Management Reviews (QMR) and Systems of Quality Management (SoQM)
  • Experience working within complex technology environments and engaging with multiple stakeholder groups
